The Sacramento Legal Professionals Association is led by a volunteer Executive Board of working legal professionals. Together they guide the association's programs, education, and member community — and connect our members to Legal Professionals Incorporated and its statewide network.
Dawn R. Forgeur, CCLS

✉President@SacLPA.orgDawn has been a legal secretary/practice assistant specializing in litigation for over 20 years. She previously served as President of Sacramento LSA (2011–2013) and Governor (2010–2012), along with several committee roles. She currently serves as Legal Professionals Incorporated's (LPI) Tech Chair (2022–2028) and has previously held LPI coordinator roles in education and the legal specialization sections.
Brenda Johnson, CCLS

✉VicePresident@SacLPA.orgBrenda has been a legal secretary for over 40 years. She served in the U.S. Navy Reserves for eight years, where she obtained her paralegal certificate. Brenda joined the Sacramento Legal Professionals Association in 2014 and has served as Secretary, Vice President, and President, along with many committee positions. She is also a California Certified Legal Secretary (CCLS) and previously served on Legal Professionals Incorporated's CCLS Certifying Board, including two years as its Chair.

She began her legal career as a Records and Document Clerk at Downey Brand LLP, where she worked from 2014 until September 2021. She has been a member of the Sacramento Legal Professionals Association since 2014 and served in a leadership role as Treasurer from 2022 to 2024. In March 2026, she earned her California Certified Legal Secretary (CCLS) certification.

✉Treasurer@SacLPA.orgRon has over 15 years' experience as a legal secretary/executive assistant in corporate M&A, pro bono, and corporate litigation, and has worked across every area of a law office. With the Beverly Hills Century City Legal Secretaries Association (BHCCLSA) he served as Vice President/Membership Chair and Webmaster/Social Media Chair. He is currently Legal Professionals Incorporated's Editor-in-Chief of The Legal Professional® magazine, and previously served as LPI Social Media and Advertising Chair. A recipient of LPI's Rising Star Award, Ron is Office Administrator at California Advocates Management Services (CAMS).

She has been a member of the Sacramento Legal Professionals Association since 2004 and formerly served as its President from 2013–2015 and 2022–2024. She also served as President of Legal Professionals Incorporated from 2020–2022.
