Sacramento Legal Professionals Association is a nonprofit educational organization for legal secretaries, legal assistants, paralegals, practice assistants, attorneys, office clerks, and other legal support staff throughout the Sacramento area.
We are one of the largest local chapters of Legal Professionals Incorporated (LPI), the statewide organization that has been educating California’s legal support professionals since 1934. One membership connects you to both: local dinner meetings, education, and networking here in Sacramento, plus statewide conferences, publications, and the California Certified Legal Secretary (CCLS) certification program through LPI.
At a Glance
- Monthly dinner meetings on the third Thursday of each month, featuring guest speakers on topics for legal support professionals.
- Continuing education credit at many of our meetings — including MCLE for attorneys and paralegals and CCLS credit for California Certified Legal Secretaries, when the program qualifies.
- Annual court updates each January — past programs have featured local superior courts, the Third District Court of Appeal, and the Eastern District of California.
